Wednesday night into Thursday Pamela will be downgraded to a tropical depression once it moves across the Mexican mountains and weakens. Despite the weakening, the system will produce a swath of intense rains across Texas with amounts of 1-5 inches. That will result in locally flash flooding. The rains will move into the Ohio Valley Friday and may actually cause severe storms in the Northeast Saturday.
