The heavy rains have started across Northern California and will continue into Monday. The rain will be very heavy with some areas having up to 9 inches of rain. Flooding will occur and in the bur areas, mudslides will occur. The snowfall over the Sierra’s will range from 1-6 feet. Travel is not recommended in the mountains due to the intense nature of the snows. This is a very serious storm for Northern California into southern Oregon. Winds along the coast will gust over 40 mph, especially the Oregon coast where power outages may occur.
