I made a few adjustments on the heavy rain area and severe weather areas. This storm will produce a lot of weather with flooding across the Midwest and Severe weather across the Mississippi Valley. The rotation tracks suggest more of large hail threat then a tornado threat but lets see how the afternoon storms develop. The rainfall will be very intense across the Midwest with flash flooding already occurring as of this morning.

The band of severe storms will continue into the lower Appalachians Monday and may come over the mountains into the Carolina’s late Monday. The main threat will be damaging winds. We will see heavy rains and thunderstorms into the Mid-Atlantic as the coastal storm starts to develop Monday night into Tuesday morning.
