The snowstorm is underway across the Northern Plains into Canada. It still looks like Winnipeg will be hit hard by heavy snow and wind-blown snow. Winds in general across the Northern Plains into Canada will be gusting 40-50 mph. We will see snow showers spread south through the Dakotas into Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin tonight and Friday.

Snow showers and lake snows will also spread across the Great Lakes Friday into Saturday.
Models are showing rain changing to snow from western PA into NY, especially over the high country Saturday. Some areas could pick up a few inches of snow, especially the Poconos into Catskills.

The models seem to be in agreement that the clipper snows are coming. They did adjust the snow a little north into the lower Great Lakes but typically the snow ends up being south of where it’s shown on the models. I still like 1-3 inches of snow.
