Happy Labor Day! Weather will be Nice for Many!

Short Range:      The cold front has made progress across the East and behind the front, the weather is improving, becoming cooler and less humid. High pressure is bringing sunshine across the Plains into the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley.

Parts of western Texas will have heavy rains today into tomorrow. The heavy rains will lead to flash flooding.

We are going into a new weather pattern in the next 5-10 days. That pattern will bring some interesting weather across the East.

Severe Weather: No widespread severe weather. A few gusty storms will impact parts of eastern Oregon and Idaho today.

Heavy Rains: Locally heavy rains of 2-5 inches will impact western Texas today into tomorrow. Expect flash flooding to occur in dry stream beds and the open areas.

Tropical Weather: The system in the western Gulf has a small chance of developing but time is running out as the system will move inland by tomorrow.

Another system in the Atlantic will move through the Caribbean and has a chance to develop prior to arriving at the Yucatan in 5 days.
