Well Helene has been upgraded to a category 1 hurricane. It is looking impressive as it continues in the Gulf and heads towards the Tallahassee area. Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall in approx 24 hours, and could strengthen to a category 3 or 4 storm. The main concern will be the winds, heavy flooding, and the dangerous storm surge. I’ll continue to update as Hurricane Helene gets closer to landfall.
