Hurricane Milton Update: 10/7/24

Hurricane Milton, now a Category 2 storm is continuing to move East towards Florida. Milton is gaining strength and has sustained winds of 105mph. With the warm waters of the Gulf, Milton is rapidly intensifying and now expected to make landfall as a Category 4 storm. Hurricane Milton looks to make landfall near Tampa Bay Wednesday afternoon. The winds, storm surge, and rain will cause significant flooding and damage to an area already trying to pick up the pieces from Hurricane Helene.
