Today the Northeast is still dealing with a coastal storm. Rain and gusty conditions will continue throughout the day. Some showers and thunderstorms will form across the Southern Plains into Texas today. Some of those storms could be severe and produce some hail and gusty winds. Some localized flooding with these storms will also be an issue heading into the weekend. Cooler temps across the Northern half of the US today with the bulk of the warm weather staying south.
