This morning some showers out across the Plains into parts of the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic states. Showers and thunderstorms are also developing in Southern Texas through Louisiana and the Southeast. Some of those storms will be severe and bring some heavy rains. We will have to watch out for some localized flooding as well. The rest of the US looks a bit milder compared to last week, with certain areas in the Plains and Mid-Atlantic states, where they will see some cooler temps today. Also as the season starts keeping an eye on anything developing in the tropics.
