Today we are seeing Southern Texas dealing with heavy rains moving through and flooding issues, as that area has seen several inches of rain this week. Those showers and thunderstorms will move into the Mississippi Valley today. We have some showers and thunderstorms up in the Northern Plains moving into the Upper Great Lakes today. Some of those storms could be severe. Much of the Midwest into the Northeast still dealing with air quality issues from the smoke coming down from the Canadian wildfires.
