Today the East continues to see hot humid conditions as well as daily thunderstorms rolling in, especially in the Ohio and Tennessee Valley’s. Portions of the East are also seeing several inches of rain over the last few days, causing some localized flooding. More storms will develop out across the Northern Plains today as well as portion of the Southeast, where we could see a few tornadoes. The Southeast could also see some heavy rains and localized flooding. The wildfire smoke seems to be slowly improving for portions of the Midwest and Northeast, but we are still dealing with some air quality issues.
