Today we will see some gusty storms form in the Upper Great Lakes through the Plains and Northern Plains. Some damaging winds with these storms are possible in parts of Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas. The low-pressure system hanging out off the coast of Florida has got its act together and has formed a tropical storm. Tropical Storm Chantel looks to impact the East Coast today through tomorrow, as she makes her way inland and up the Mid-Atlantic states. With TS Chantal some heavy rains and flooding will be the biggest threat, as well as some strong winds on the coast.
