This week we will see more of the same weather pattern we have seen over the last month or so. Hot, humid, and daily chances for storms in the East, and dryand sunny conditions in the West. This weather patten looks to continue until the end of the month. All week we will see daily chances across the eastern part of the US for severe weather. Sunday, storms look to develop across Florida, parts of the Northeast, The Mid-Atlantic, and the Southern Plains. On Sunday into Monday, the Hill Country in Texas could see more rains and even more flooding, after the deadly floods they just saw. Sunday through Wednesday in the Mid-Atlantic States, there look to be daily chances for storms to develop. These storms look to be severe, and we will also have to watch out for localized flooding, as this area has seen a fair amount of rain over the last several days. Sunday to Thurs the Mississippi Valley looks to see daily chances for storms todevelop as well. Dew point temps will be high this week, so I would not be surprised if we see some tornadoes in the area this week. Tuesday to Saturday the Northern Plains into the Upper Great Lakes will see some daily storms develop and look to be severe. We could see some the potential for tornadoes on Tues and Weds, as dew points will be in the high 60’s and 70’s in the Upper Great Lakes. Wednesday, more storms look to break out across the Denver area and areas to the East. Also on Wednesday, storms will develop out across the Midwest and into the Ohio Valley. Thursday, storms will develop in the Plains into the Midwest, Ohio Valley, the Lower Mississippi Valley and Northeast. Friday, storms look to break out in the Tennessee Valley.
The West continues to be warm and dry. Temps will be hot once again this week in Arizona, and Southern California. The tropics this week looks to be quiet for another week. We did see a low-pressure system last week form off the Florida Coast and bring some rain to the Mid-Atlantic States. I think once we flip this weather pattern in the East, we could see the tropics more active. The week ahead looks to be stormy once again for a majority of the East and we could see all hazards in play. Localized flooding will also be a major concern this week with all the rain certain areas in the East have seen.
