Today storms will develop in the Upper Great Lakes into the Plains, and parts of the SW. Gusty storms, hail, and tornadoes will be possible in the Upper Great Lakes through The Plains. Along with the storms, hot and humid conditions will impact the Plains, Midwest, and Texas. Temperatures look to be in the upper 90’s to some areas seeing over 100 degrees. With the hot temps the humidity in some areas will feel like the tropics, with high dew point temps. Heat indices in the Plains, Texas, and Midwest could be well over 100 degrees. Heavy rains will also be something to watch for in the Plains and Midwest, some localized flooding could be an issue.
