Today showers and thunderstorms will develop in parts of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. These storms will bring some severe weather to the area with, damaging winds, hail, heavy rains, and a tornado or two is possible. Localized flooding will also be a major concern with the amount of rainfall some areas could pick up. More storms will develop out in the Central Plains today, and those look to be severe. Some cooler less humid weather already in the Midwest today as a cooler air mass moves into the area, and will move into the eastern part of the US tomorrow.
