Today storms will develop in the Southern Plains, bringing heavy rains, hail, gusty conditions, and a tornado can’t be ruled out. Still watching a low-pressure system off the Eastern Seaboard. It doesn’t look well organized and if anything were to form it would be out in the Atlantic and wouldn’t impact anywhere on the East Coast. Smoke from the Canadian wildfires is coming down to the Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast today and throughout the week. The smoke and hazy conditions seem to be getting worse over the last few days, and will continue over the next few days. The west continues to see the hot and dry conditions, which isn’t helping the wildfires that continue to burn.
