Daily Maps Monday August 11th, 2025

Today some storms will develop in the Plains into parts of the Midwest. These storms will bring some gusty conditions and heavy rains. Some of those storms have the potential to be severe. The Southeast will be dealing with some heavy downpours today, from a system that’s hanging out around Florida. The High Plains will be dealing with some poor air quality today from the Canadian wildfire smoke. Here we go today in the tropics. Tropical Storm Erin has just been named off the coast of Africa. While the models are predicting TS Erin to stay in the Atlantic, we will still need to watch to see if those tracks pan out.
