This morning we are already seeing some showers and thunderstorms out across the Midwest and Great Lakes. Some of those could become severe. Later today more storms will break out across the Plains into the Midwest, bringing some heavy rains at times. The Four Corner States will see some monsoonal flow continue with some locally heavy rains. Still watching the effects of Hurricane Erin as she approaches the East Coast, bringing some gusty conditions and high surf and dangerous rip tides to the outer banks.
