Today the Southern Plains will see some showers and thunderstorms develop. Those storms will bring some heavy rains and some localized flooding. Florida will see some showers and thunderstorms develop today as well. The Four Corners states continues to deal with daily monsoon storms, and will continue for much of the week. Flash flooding and gusty winds will accompany these storms. Tropical Storm Fernand is still in the Atlantic posing no threat to the US. A disturbance in the Caribbean that the NHC was watching looks less organized today, and further development is not anticipated. Some cooler weather for the Eastern part of the US today, with fall like temps this morning.
