Daily Maps Saturday August 30th, 2025

This morning we are already seeing showers and thunderstorms across the Plains, the Texas Panhandle, and parts of the Southeast and Northeast. The Plains and Gulf Coast states could see some heavy rains today and localized flooding. Some of those storms could be severe, but no real severe threat today. The smoke in the Pac NW is slowly improving. The tropics are dormant. Some fall like temperatures look to be coming into the Eastern part of the US late next week.
