Daily Maps Saturday September 6th, 2025

This morning we are already seeing showers and thunderstorms in the Southeast and some showers across parts of the Northeast. Later today storms will develop from Maine to the Carolinas and some of those storms could be severe. Gusty conditions, hail, and heavy rains at times will all be in play with these storms. Localized flooding could also be a concern with these areas, as 1-2” of rain could fall. The Southwest will see some showers today which could produce some localized flooding, from the remnants of Tropical Storm Lorena. Smoke conditions in the Pacific NW seem to be getting worse, and the wildfires seem to be increasing in the Pacific NW and Western Canada. Nothing new in the tropics, the NHC is still watching AL 91 to see what develops.
