Today showers and thunderstorms across the Plains. Some of those storms look to be severe in the Southern Plains and across the Texas Panhandle, producing hail and gusty conditions. The subtropical low off the East Coast looks to be diminishing with some localized showers and thunderstorms today. We are still dealing with smoke and hazy conditions from the wildfires in the Pacific NW. Tropical Depression Seven has been named by the NHC. This storm looks to stay out at sea.
