Today we will see showers and thunderstorms out across the Southeast. The Tennessee and Mississippi Valley’s will see some gusty storms develop and some of those could become severe. With the storms the Southeast will see a chance for some localized flooding, even after drought conditions. The eastern US still dealing with smoky and hazy conditions from the wildfires. Hurricane Gabrielle has passed and is in the Atlantic, while the NHC is watching two areas of interest in the Atlantic. These areas of disturbances have a good chance to form into something over the next few days. We will have to keep watching the Atlantic to see if there will be an impact to the US.
