This morning we area already seeing some showers and thunderstorms across the Northeast as well as some humid conditions. We will continue to see showers and thunderstorms in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states today, bringing some gusty conditions and possible some severe weather. The Southwest will also see some gusty storms move in as well as some localized flooding with some heavy rains. Eastern part of the US still dealing with wildfire smoke. Tropics are heating up. We have Hurricane Gabrielle out to sea, Tropical Storm Humberto and Invest 94L which should be named later today as a tropical storm-Imelda. We will have to watch these storms over the next few days to see if Invest 94L (Imelda) strengthens into a hurricane or stays a TS and makes landfall in South Carolina, as some of the model tracks show.
