Daily Maps Thursday October 16th, 2025

Today some showers and thunderstorms out in the West, as well as later tonight in the Plains. Mixed with the rain the Northern Rockies could see some snow in the higher elevations. A chilly start for areas in the Northeast waking up to some frost and cooler temps. Still watching the Mississippi Valley into the Midwest on Saturday into Sunday for some severe weather to develop. Heavy rains, hail, winds, and a possible tornado are in play. The tropics have nothing going on. Tropical Storm Lorenzo is no more as anticipated. There could be an area in the Caribbean that may develop towards the end of the month but time will tell.
