This morning we are already seeing showers and thunderstorms out across the Southern Plains into the Mississippi Valley. More storms will develop today into tonight in Texas and Oklahoma. Some of those storms will be severe bringing heavy rains, winds, hail and a tornado can’t be ruled out. Showers in the Pac NW today. Some scattered showers and thunderstorms today in parts of the Northeast. Tropical Storm Melissa still developing in the Caribbean. Melissa’s track looks to take her through Jamaica and into Cuba. Over the next 24-48 hours Melissa looks to strengthen into a Cat 3 hurricane, and looks to track out into the Atlantic with no US involvement.
