Today and into tomorrow a low-pressure system is making its way across the Northeast, brining showers and thunderstorms to the area. This system will also bring some rains to the area, and some areas along the southern portion of NY and CT could see up to an inch if not more of rain. After making landfall in Jamaica and Cuba hurricane Melissa is not out in the Atlantic as a Cat 2 storm, and is dealing with the shear in the Atlantic. Melissa will have no impact with the US but will impact Bermuda later today.
