Today more showers and thunderstorms will impact Northern California into the Pac NW today producing some heavy rains and the potential for some localized flooding. Out across Eastern Texas into Louisiana some showers and thunderstorms today. Much of the central and eastern portion of the US is seeing some milder weather today. Temps are noticeably warmer than the arctic freeze we felt last week. That will all change tomorrow as our next system comes through bringing snow, rain, gusty conditions, cold temps that will produce a flash freeze behind the system. Accumulations look to be light in the Great Lakes and Northeast with a coating of snow. The heavier snow will be in the Northern Plains into the Upper Great Lakes. Out ahead of the system we could see some severe storms develop in the Southeast over the next few days.
