Happy New Year! This morning, we are seeing another clipper come through the Great Lakes into the Northeast, bringing a coating to the area and some higher amounts in areas near the Great Lakes. Some lake-effect snows will also linger around today as well, increasing snow amounts. Showers and thunderstorms continue to impact Southern California and increase the risk of the ongoing flooding issue, and some of those storms could be gusty at times. Showers will also impact the Pacific NW today as well. The Rockies and Sierra’s will see some snow today in the higher elevations. The cold still impacting the Northern Plains through the Great Lakes and into the Northeast, as temperatures are in the single digits in certain areas of the Plains.
