Daily Maps Sunday January 4th, 2026

This morning, we are seeing some showers across the Pacific NW and California, and even some snow in the Sierra’s and Northern Rockies. California continues to see a lot of rain and the threat for flooding. Later tonight another clipper will come through the Upper Great Lakes into the Northeast tomorrow. Accumulations look to be a coating in certain areas while the heavier snowfall will be north in the UP of Michigan, Northern Michigan, and central NY. Looking ahead some areas in the Plains, Midwest, and Northeast could see a few days of milder weather. We are not talking about 70-degree temperatures, but daily highs above freezing and highs close to 50 degrees. The warmer weather will be the further south you go.
