This morning, we are seeing what’s left of Winter Storm Fern exiting the Northeast still producing some snow in upstate New York to Maine. A cold start to the work week for areas in the Plains, and Great Lakes with temperatures this morning in the single digits and in areas well below zero. The cold has stretched into the south as well this morning and will stay for the eastern portion of the US this week. Some showers exciting the Carolinas this morning. Today we will see some lake-effect snow in the Great Lakes and into the Northeast. Gusty conditions throughout the day will create some blowing snow in the Great Lakes and Northeast. Accumulations look to be a coating to 4”, with the higher totals closer to the Great Lakes. Looking ahead still watching for our next snowstorm this weekend that looks to impact the Mid-Atlantic states into the Northeast.
