Daily Maps Saturday February 28th, 2026

This morning, we are seeing the cold return to the Plains, Midwest and into parts of the Northeast. It was a nice 48 hours of milder weather. Dont worry we will see some milder temps next week for a few days and then the cold returns. This will be an ongoing theme going into March. A developing system will bring snowfall across the Plains and into the Midwest throughout the day. As the system tracks east, snow will push into the Great Lakes later tonight and reach the Northeast tomorrow. Most areas can expect general accumulations between 1 and 4 inches, which may lead to slick travel during peak commute times. Meanwhile, unsettled weather continues along the West Coast. Showers will move across Northern California and into the Pacific Northwest today, adding to already damp conditions in some locations.
