This morning, showers are exiting the Northeast following a round of storms that produced 95 reports of hail and damaging winds across the region. On the back side of this system, parts of New England, especially northward into Maine, may see some light snow, with accumulations generally limited to a coating at most. Farther south, along the Carolina coast, additional showers and thunderstorms could develop later today. Meanwhile, colder air is settling into the Northern Plains, extending through the Great Lakes and into the Northeast. Looking ahead, a clipper will move into the Upper Great Lakes late tonight into tomorrow, bringing light snowfall to the UP of Michigan, where a coating to around one inch is expected.
