This morning, scattered showers are making their way across portions of the Plains and into the Mississippi Valley, while additional rainfall is moving through parts of Vermont and New Hampshire. In northern California, showers are also ongoing, with the potential for localized flooding in some areas due to persistent rainfall. As we move into the evening hours, attention turns back to the Plains and southern Plains, where additional storms are expected to develop. These storms may bring gusty winds and the potential for hail, creating a more active weather pattern overnight. This unsettled trend is expected to continue into tomorrow, with another round of severe weather possible across these regions. Despite the active weather in some areas, much of the United States will experience mild temperatures today, contributing to generally comfortable conditions as we head into the weekend.
