Daily Maps Saturday April 25th, 2026

This morning, we are seeing showers across portions of the Northeast, the Plains, and the Gulf Coast states. As the day progresses, another round of severe weather is expected to develop across the Plains and southern Plains, with the greatest focus on Oklahoma and Texas. Oklahoma, in particular, has experienced multiple rounds of severe weather in recent days, including a destructive tornado near Enid that highlighted the intensity of this ongoing pattern. Additional storms today could once again bring an all-hazards threat, including damaging winds, large hail, and the potential for tornadoes. Farther east, the Carolinas are expected to see much-needed rainfall later this afternoon into the overnight hours, which will help alleviate ongoing drought conditions in the region. Temperature-wise, cooler air is in place across the Northern Plains and portions of the Northeast, while warmer conditions continue to dominate across the southern United States.
