This morning, we are seeing showers and thunderstorms moving across the Great Lakes, parts of the Southeast, and northern Florida. These areas, along with portions of the Ohio Valley into the Northeast, could see additional gusty storms develop later tonight and into the overnight hours. Localized flooding will also be a concern across portions of Florida and into parts of Georgia and Alabama, where repeated rounds of heavy rainfall are possible. Behind these storms, breezy conditions are expected across the Midwest and Great Lakes, with wind gusts over 35 mph possible in some locations. Milder weather is expected across much of the United States today, although cooler conditions will continue across portions of the Northeast, northern Great Lakes, and parts of the Pacific Northwest.
