This morning, we are seeing showers moving through the Ohio Valley and into the Northeast. Additional showers are developing across parts of Texas and the lower Mississippi Valley. These southern storms are expected to continue tracking eastward, with the potential to produce thunderstorms along the Gulf Coast, bringing hail and damaging winds, and heavy rains. Localized flooding will also be an issue with these storms in the south. Cooler air has settled into the Great Lakes and Northeast, while warmer conditions remain in place across the southern and western portions of the United States, maintaining a sharp temperature contrast across the country.
